You're the Chairman, what would you choose?
Currently being touted that Klopp could potentially be our next manager if our owners go for it.

Personally I would happily sacrifice 7/8m of the transfer budget to pull in such a name.

if you had the choice reduced player budget and new manager

or

big transfer budget

Rum and Raisin ... in a Cone... that's what I would choose

I imagine a big name manager, such as Klopp, would expect a decent kitty too.

Reduced budget and a new manager.
Bring back Zarate, try and bring in Oxford and Burke during pre season

Get wasters like Cole, Nolan and Carroll off the wage bill and it won't matter too much.

Re: You're the Chairman, what would you choose?
West Ham's pool money is going to be about £75m

I think we can attract a decent manager AND have a decent budget.

Shame Klopp wont come here BUT I reckon Rafa would do

Yeah he really showed us at QPR that Zarate didn't he? Oxford and Burke both need decent loan spells

Re: You're the Chairman, what would you choose?
I don't think there are many Managers out there that could do a much better job based on the small squad we have and the lack of quality within in. Our first 11 when all fit and on form are a good team, but you can't sustain a consistent level and avoid injury and fatigue with the same set of players. Unfortunately our squad after our strongest 11 are no where near good enough.

So the existing Manager or any new Manager will need substantial funds to take us any further forward.

He actually showed more than enough at the club who employs him, Croe son.

He done ok before spitting his dummy out of the pram....

He has made himself look a bit of a berk to be fair

Re: You're the Chairman, what would you choose?
Personally I would be looking to sign another first choice striker so we have 4 and then if Zarate wants to make it 5 I would have no problem with that.

Re: You're the Chairman, what would you choose?
Croe - I don't think he has. I would say our Manager has made himself to look like a berk as we're now without our best strikers and on a pathetic run of results.

I haven't a clue why Zarate has fucked things up so much in the last few months. I know he's come back recently injured but obviously can't play for us this season due to the loan conditions. I'd like to know what's going on in his head because he showed earlier in the season that he is a class player well capable of playing in the PL. Is he just taking the piss?

Not sure were going to agree here. He thought he should be playing when we were in good form and spat the dummy out and said he would show us all at QPR where he's been a bit shit.

But yes, he would have been a handy option to have and whilst we can blame BFS for playing Nolan and Cole, I think there was little else he could do with Zarate.

Re: You're the Chairman, what would you choose?
Sam has little or no interest in Zarate, I would have thought that is pretty obvious.

Re: You're the Chairman, what would you choose?
Yep we are going to disagree.

I'm happy with the fact that every time Carlton Cole and Kevin Nolan step on the pitch, it shows the Manager made a mistake in sending him on loan to another Premiership club.

I'll still be feeling the same when it happens on Sunday too.

Forget Zarate...'

He's had plenty of chances to deliver on his early potential...

He's never been happy anywhere...Trouble maker...???

Move on...!!!

Klopp might not want 7/8m less to spend

Re: You're the Chairman, what would you choose?
If the injury problems up front could have been foretold, I am sure Zarate wouldn't have been sent on loan.

Not sure anyone would have guessed Sakho, Valencia and Carroll (well maybe in Carroll's case) would have all missed significant chunks of time since Christmas, after there being no injuries at all from September-December.

I always expect an injury crises tbh

Re: You're the Chairman, what would you choose?
Zarate is injured now, but if he wasn't, and was back with us, he'd be playing instead of Cole...you would think!
